SUMM IT UP

Psychological Safety with Stephanie Russell

Episode Summary

Psychological safety is the ability to take risks in an organization. Benefits include lower turnover, higher productivity, and greater life satisfaction.

Episode Notes

Last year, the wonderful Stephanie Russell visited SUMM IT UP to help us clarify our goals as individuals, maintain boundaries, and avoid burnout. In this episode, Stephanie is back with fresh insights and a new framework for helping leaders and organizations thrive: psychological safety.

Psychological safety is the ability to take risks in an organization. It's foundations are the reduction of harm, and the promotion of wellbeing. In a psychologically safe salon company, owners and team members can give and receive feedback without fear of fostering resentment or losing status.  Benefits include lower turnover, higher productivity, and greater life satisfaction.

Stephanie  is a certified confidence coach, a mindfulness coach, an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy coach, a stylist, and a Redken Artist, and the founder of Psychologically Safe Service.
